Completely agree — I had the exact problem and solved it by reconfiguring the hub. Took me a while to locate that configuration option.
MQTTMaster: YMMV, but in practice — WiFi was a mess in my case.

This might be a silly question, but can you run it offline? I'm trying to automations and worried about cloud dependency.
